Making Rounds with Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat (Thorndike Nonfiction)

Making Rounds with Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat (Thorndike Nonfiction)

The staff at Steere House nursing home in Rhode Island adopted a cute little kitten with attitude. He loved to stretch out in sunlight and chase his tail — and consented to a cuddle when it suited him. Oscar was an ordinary cat‚ or so it seemed. It wasn’t long before he created a stir. It seems Oscar possessed an extraordinary gift: he instinctively knew when the end of life was near. This is the story of Oscar‚ his patients‚ caregivers and one stubborn doctor who learned how to listen.

  1. Making Rounds with Oscar was a book that kept my attention and I didn’t want to put it down. I had purchased the large print which made it easy to read!!. The story had a nice flow to it!! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes an easy read and good story line, even though it is based on actual events and facts and that’s why I liked the book!!

  2. I am very pleased with the condition of Making Rounds with Oscar. However, I had failed to note that the book was in large print and I was disappointed when it came. This was my fault since I was not careful enough in noting this when ordering. The book was in excellent condition and arrived within the time designated to arrive.

  3. This is such a beautiful story and I love it. It is informational too, since it takes place in a senior residence for people with dementia and alzheimers and was written by a doctor. If you love cats, you will love this book.
