  1. Legal Considerations for Fire and Emergency Services is a must read for every emergency responder. It presents basic legal and civic concepts in clear, concise, easy to understand language accompanied by many pertinent case studies or examples. This book will be an invaluable tool to not only the fire service officer but to every firefighter and public safety responder.

  2. I purchased this book for an online college course thinking it would be dry and hard to follow like many other textbooks, but I was proved wrong. “Legal Considerations for Fire and Emergency Services” has been hands down the most interesting and beneficial textbook to my education and career. The author of the book shares his invaluable experience and knowledge of both public safety and law in a clear and concise manner. The material is very relatable for those in the fire service and would be a great read for all ranks. One of my favorite things about this book is the many examples or “case studies” that helped me to visualize or apply the concepts being taught.

  3. Bought the book for a college class and so far its not bad. It does a decent job of taking “lawyer talk” and putting in terms that most can understand. Some of the case law explanations are a little short on detail and explaining the “why”; which is why I don’t give 5 stars.

  4. This is one of the best books I have read on legal issues that are faced by fire service personnel – excellently written

  5. This book was very easily understood and is specific to how the law applies to the fire service. The book uses several case studies that are very relevant and provide an understandable connection to how the various laws are actually applied.

  6. This is one of the few books out there that comprehensively addresses legal issues and emergency services. It is well written, well organized, and offers applicable case studies in each chapter. I recommend it for any home library.

  7. I received the book right on time… actually 1 day early. The book itself was pretty good for an introductory source to understanding tort, civil and criminal law.
