  1. The author reminds us that this book is being edited by traditional theologians in the service of the traditional evangelical story. He contrasts Hindu concepts of mysticism and ecstatic experience with the cognitive belief-based views of fundamentalism, but rarely does he meld the two. As with most traditional Christians, he doesn’t put forth any ideas about how to have an experience with God, and seems to doubt the concept. He does include quotes from Hindu mystics, which is the only redeeming feature of the book. Nothing new here! He seems to show that Christianity is not Bhakti Marga.
